Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled C License Heavy Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will make deliveries of food to and from central kitchens to satellite units and clients in a pleasant, safe and timely manner according to Company’s standards by following agreed routes with Logistics manager.
Responsibilities:
• Be professional in the transportation of loading of goods and products and in equipment according to specification.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness of vehicles and their equipment with records compiled regularly.
• Ensure all trolleys and equipment is loaded and stowed according as per instructions.
• Observe security regulations.
• Be responsible to ensure that vehicles under his control are road worthy
• Perform daily safety inspection of vehicles and operate before and at end of every shift.
• Observe driving and traffic rules and regulations and exercise utmost care when maneuvering vehicles.
• Takes all necessary and preventive measures to ensure load is transported and delivered safely and free from any damages.
• Load trucks and ensure correct temperature of vehicle
• Coordinate orders with the Logistics Manager
• Perform his/her duties according to HACCP system principles.
• Carry out his/her duties safely and responsibly.
• Maintain a high level of personal hygiene, be well groomed and wear clean uniform.
• Does not smoke in the vehicle.
• Fueling the vehicles
• Ensuring that periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed and reported
• Provides a communication link between customers and management
Qualifications:
- Valid C Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Valid Special ADP License and CPC Certificate
- Clean Conduct
- Ability to read and write in both Maltese & English
- Applicants having experience with food deliveries and in possession of a Food Handling License will be preferred
